Spain and Latin America are bound by the Spanish language which travelled across the Atlantic from Spain to the new discovered world of the western hemisphere and became a vehicle of the colonial rule of Spain over Central and South America. With time it became the language of communication throughout Central and South America, which is now termed as Latin America.
Both Spain and Latin America has an age old tradition of storytelling which have been transcribed into written language from the oral tradition with a lot of effort from the part of the collectors of those stories. They include myths, fairy tales, supernatural stories and even the stories of the battles of independence that were fought in Latin America against the Spanish rule.
